Karuna means “Compassionate
Action”. Enlightened beings are working to
end suffering on Earth and have this quality within
them. They incessantly send an unlimited amount
of healing energy and guidance to us. However,
everyone is not receptive to it. As you develop
the inspiring quality of compassionate action
within yourself, not only are you helping others,
but you also are becoming more receptive to the
Karuna that is being sent to you by all these
enlightened beings, thus your own healing is accelerated.
Karuna Reiki® opens
you to work more closely with all enlightened
beings. This includes those who are physically
present, as well as those in spirit.
This system has been developed
by William Lee Rand of the International Center
for Reiki Training, Michigan, USA. Several Reiki
Masters channelled the symbols. William used the
symbols and found them to be valuable and powerful
healing tools. He felt that they had greater potential
than was previously thought, and, therefore he
meditated on them. He was guided to develop the
attunement process and to call the new system
Karuna Reiki®.
Some of the symbols are the
same as those used by other schools and systems.
As the attunements and intentions are different,
the energies that connect to Karuna Reiki®
are unique to this system.
A description of the four Karuna Reiki® One symbols: The first symbol
prepares the client to receive deep healing and
is useful with past life issues. The second symbol
heals deeply seated issues including unconscious
patterns, child and sexual abuse, shadow self
issues and can release the cause of psychic and
psychological attack. It also works with karmic
issues on a cellular level. The third symbol fills
the client with love and can be used to heal relationships,
stop bad habits and create good ones, heal addictions
and develop compassion. The fourth symbol grounds
the client by opening the lower chakras and strengthening
ones connection to the Earth. It also clears the
mind, creates determination and helps manifests
goals. It can be used at the end of a session
to integrate and complete the healing process.
The Karuna Reiki®
Two Symbols are of a higher vibration and more
powerful than those of Karuna Reiki®
One. They help connect directly with the Higher
Self and work on a deeper level. While they have
specific purposes which will be explained in class,
the experience of their energy allows intuitive
guidance in their use.
The Karuna Reiki energy is
different from the Usui reiki energy, being more
subtler, finer but extremely powerful. Karuna
Reiki is not a substitue for Usui Reiki, but an
additional powerful healing technique to promote
healing.
William’s lineage comes
down from one of the 22 direct students of Mrs
Takata. He has also studied Reiki with 6 other
Reiki masters. He has a broad background in metaphysics
including 20 years of experience as a hypnotherapist.
He specialized in past life regression therapy,
spiritual development, is a certified NLP practitioner
by the Robbins Research Institute, and has written
several books.
Karuna Reiki® is
a registered trademark with the ICRT, (USA). The
course is certified by William Lee Rand, and,
registration with the ICRT (USA) is a necessary
procedure, if you are going to use the name Karuna
Reiki Master teacher in future.
All class manuals are provided
by William’s center, and master teachers
are to follow the guidelines for minimum teaching
requirements and code of ethics as prescribed
by the center.
