This system was developed by Richard Rivard (Canada), who is a member of the Canadian Reiki Association and the Gendai Reiki Ho healing society. I acknowledge my thanks to Richard for teaching me this system.

Richard has trained under several Reiki masters :

Usui Takata Reiki : from William Lee Rand’s student, Elizabeth Gilbert.

Tera Mai Reiki : from Kathleen Milner.

Traditional Japanese Reiki : from Dave King, who was trained by Dr Hayashi’s 12th student, Mr Tatsumi. (Dr Hayashi trained 13 students to the mastership level in his lifetime.)

Sekhem Seichim Reiki : from Tom Rigler (USA).

Gendai Reiki : from Sensei Hiroshi Doi.

Usui Reiki Ryoho Techniques : from Sensei Hiroshi Doi.

He also received and shared knowledge and attunements around the world with several reiki friends including Seichim Reiki styles, Karuna Reiki, Tera Mai Seichim Reiki, Rai reiki, Ascension Reiki.

Threshold Reiki is a unique combination of the Western and original Japanese Reiki methods, combining both methods, yet allowing them to grow side by side.

In any threshold reiki class the student practitioner will receive the attunement to the unique and continually growing threshold reiki energy. He will also receive 2 additional attunements, using 2 different Japanese reiki energies.

Additionally, The Usui Reiki Ryoho Techniques for levels one, two and three are demonistrated.

This system has four levels:

Levels One & Two Combined : Two days.

• An additional attunement to traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho Reiki, using Hiroshi Doi Sensei's Reiju technique (Level One)
• The history of Reiki, what it is, how it works (Level One)
• The aura and how to sense it (Level One)
• Scanning and energy block removal (Level One)
• The Usui Reiki Ryoho hand positions used in a session. (Level One)
• The Hayashi hand positions used in a session (Level One)
• Original Usui Reiki Ryoho techniques: Nentatsu-ho, Jaki Kiri Joka-Ho, Shudan Reiki, Reiki Mawashi, Byosen Reikan-ho, Reiji-ho, Reiki Undo (Level One)
• Giving a Reiki treatment to yourself (Level One)
• Giving treatments to another student (in a chair and on a Reiki table) (Level Two)
• Using Reiki on other living things (plants, animals, etc) (Level One)
• Using Reiki in other areas of your life (job environment, events, meetings, in the home, leisure activities) (Levels One & Two )
• Introduction to 3 Reiki symbols (Level Two)
• An additional attunement given in a traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho Japanese ceremony, using Hiroshi Doi Sensei's Reiju technique (Level Two)
• The 2nd Degree Reiki attunement (Level Two)
• 2nd Degree symbols and use (Level Two)
• Scanning and beaming in a treatment (Level Two)
• Adding the symbols into a treatment (Level Two)
• Distant healing - various techniques and practice (Level Two)
• "Original" Hayashi hand positions used in a session, including his method involving 2 healers (Level Two)
• Giving treatments to another student using the above (Level Two)
• Using Reiki to accomplish goals and heal unwanted habits (Level Two)
• Usui Reiki Ryoho techniques from the original society: Hatsurei-ho, Uchite Chiryo-ho, Oshite Chiryo-ho, Nadete Chiryo-ho, Tanden Chiryo-ho, Koki-ho, Gyoshi-ho, Heso Chiryo-ho, Seiheki Chiryo-ho, Enkaku Chiryo-ho, Ketsueki Kokan-ho (Level Two)
• An additional attunement to traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho Reiki, using Hiroshi Doi Sensei's Reiju technique (Level Two)
• Question time (Levels One & Two): Student practitioners and Master teachers in discussion with each other.

Levels Three & Four Combined ( Master Practitioner and Teacher Levels ) : Three days.
